Mission and Values

Caritas Slovakia provides charitable, social, healthcare and educational services to those who need it most, here in Slovakia and around the world.

Our mission is to bring effective aid to those most in need and encourage them in their struggles, and to be a witness to the love of God, in the spirit of the Gospel.

Our Activites

Caritas Slovakia's diocesan charities and its Secretariat run a number of projects and programmes to help the disadvataged and those in deepest need.

Our activities and projects include providing ongoing services and facilities through our diocesan charities, as well as offering humanitarian and structural aid in response to natural disasters and other catastrophes in Slovakia and around the world.

Our History and Structure

Caritas Slovakia was founded in 1927 and during its almost 100-year history has reached out to thousands. Today Caritas Slovakia is a member of the international organization Caritas Internationalis, based in Rome.

Our organization consists of the Caritas Slovakia Secretariat, the Bratislava Catholic Charity and local diocesan charities around Slovakia.
